INSPIRE: Trend Spotting Then And Now

I’m not a big fan of the color pink, but these two photos make a strong argument for pink silk with foiled gold dots as seen on the steps of the New York Public Library in 1969 and more recently in the summer streets of Florence. I might just have to go on a vintage spree for some sari-inspired silk. If anyone knows the origin of the maxi skirt/dress on the right, please comment below!
